Programs that meet families where they’re at.
Every family's needs are different. That's why we offer a range of programs designed to support children's development, strengthen parent skills, and build community connections. Looking for quality early education or resources to help your family thrive? We're here to help.
Early Childhood EducationHOPE Academy Preschool
Quality early childhood education shouldn't be out of reach. Established in 2015, HOPE Academy Preschool (Harnessing Opportunity, Promoting Education) provides a nurturing, literacy-rich learning environment for children ages 3-5 in northern Moore County.
Our full-day classes combine structured learning with play, giving children the social, emotional, and academic foundation they need to enter kindergarten ready to learn. We provide an age-appropriate curriculum, experienced teachers, parent involvement opportunities, and a safe, joyful learning environment. We currently serve 53 children (maximum capacity) across three classes.
After-School Programs
Since 2009, we have run after-school programs at Robbins Elementary and Elise Middle School, serving over 200 students. The program has improved Robbins Elementary’s overall grade rating since its establishment. Teachers reported that kids who have participated come to class with homework completed and are more prepared to learn.
Summer Camp
Every summer, we offer a themed day camp designed to keep kids reading, learning, and having fun during the break. Led by certified teachers, our camp includes literacy activities, STEAM projects, outdoor play, and weekly field trips.
Past themes have included "Reading Rocks!" and "One World, Many Stories." We've partnered with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina to provide free meals to all campers.
We gratefully accept donations that support this program.
Family SupportParent & Family Workshops
Parenting is hard. We get it. That's why we offer free workshops on topics that matter to families.
Recent workshops: Making reading fun for the whole family, preparing nutritious meals on a budget, teaching independence through daily routines, parent involvement in education, and kindergarten readiness.
Workshops are led by our Director of Family Support, teachers, and guest presenters, and they're open to all families in the community.
Santa’s Workshop
The holidays can be tough for families facing financial challenges. Since 2012, we've partnered with faith-based and civic organizations to provide Christmas support through Santa's Workshop.
Parents visit us in December to select toys, books, coats, pants, and shoes for each of their children—at no cost. We consistently serve between 500-600 children.
Santa's Workshop is made possible by donations of new clothing, toys, and funds from our incredible community.
